Wines to Admire

Our wine review section emphasizes the unique qualities and stories behind 100 individual wines worth seeking out. Tasting notes are not the usual "medium-plus this and that" + some fruit salad and obscure tobacco analogies. Instead, I frame each wine with what "a beginner might like" as well as what "a wine obsessive" might like. If I can't answer those two questions, I don't include the wine on Opening a Bottle.
