Founded by a husband-and-wife team living in the Langhe Hills, the Barolo Wine Club offers its members access to curated collections of wines from the heart of Piedmont, shipped directly to the United States twice a year. American Anna Savino and her husband, Claudio, regularly scour the Langhe and Roero for the most compelling wines to offer their members, which are bundled into four different selections you can choose from. They also offer a selection of rare wines they've procured on their e-commerce site.
Anna is originally from Napa, California, and for many years she has offered culinary tours of Piedmont via her company, Italianna Food & Wine Tours. She is also an Italian Wine Scholar™. In the coming months, look for Anna to contribute her insights on vintages, trends and producers on the pages of Opening a Bottle.
