Circumnavigating Sicilian Wines

Our Wine Education Class on Sicily and Its Wines (With a Dash of The White Lotus)

< 1 min read

On January 8, 2023, subscribers to Opening a Bottle joined Editor-in-Chief Kevin Day for a seminar and discussion on the wines of Sicily, in which we circumnavigated the island’s history, terroir, culture, cuisine and of course, wine using locales from the hit TV series The White Lotus – Season 2. We explored the white and red wines of Mount Etna, the avant garde of white wine in Western Sicily with Grillo and Catarrato, and the brilliance and ease of Frappato and Nero d’Avola in the Vittoria area.

This presentation and class is exclusive to Opening a Bottle’s paying subscribers. Learn more.
