Etna Wine Region

Once considered an re-emerging wine region in Sicily, the Etna wine region is today among Italy’s most important and consistently compelling places for both red and white wine — something that cannot be claimed for Barolo, Montalcino of Chianti Classico, which are all red. The primary appellation here is the Etna DOC, used for rosso, bianco, spumante and rosato wines, but we also include some of the wines made just outside the appellation boundaries here in this archive of wine articles.
