Vineyard Brands

Established in 1973 by Robert Haas, Vineyard Brands has one of the largest portfolios of fine wines in America, extending across Europe, Africa, Oceania as well as North and South America.

Of particular note for readers of our site is their portfolio of wines in Italy, Austria and particularly France, which includes marquee estates in Burgundy (Domaine Ponsot, Domaine des Lampreys, Thibault Liger-Belair and Domaine Dauvissat to name a few), Champagne (Salon), Bordeaux (Pétrus) and the Rhône Valley (Famille Perrin).

Interestingly, the company is employee-owned after Robert Haas made the fateful decision to move into winemaking, whereby he founded one of California's most influential and forward-thinking wineries, Tablas Creek.
